Psychodiagnostic Evaluations

Educational and Learning Evaluations

Educational evaluations examine how an individual learns and processes information and can help identify academic strengths and areas of difficulty.

  • Academic achievement

  • Reading, writing, and mathematics

  • Attention and executive functioning

  • Learning and memory

  • Processing speed

  • Language-related skills

  • Learning disabilities and other educational concerns

 

These evaluations can help families and schools better understand a student's learning profile and identify appropriate educational supports and interventions.

Risk and Threat Assessments

Risk and threat assessments are designed to evaluate concerns related to potential harm to others or significant behavioral escalation.

 

These evaluations may be appropriate in situations involving:

  • Threatening statements or communications

  • Concerning writings, drawings, or online activity

  • Aggressive or violent behavior

  • School-based threats

  • Escalating behavioral concerns

  • Concerns about potential violence or harm

  • Sexualized behavior

 

Risk assessments consider the individual's history, current circumstances, behavioral patterns, mental health, protective factors, and other relevant information. The goal is to provide a structured understanding of risk and recommendations for risk management and intervention.

Forensic Evaluations

We provide forensic psychological evaluations and consultation for attorneys, courts, families, and other professionals involved in legal proceedings. Our forensic work focuses on psychological questions that can be informed by comprehensive assessment of an individual's cognitive, emotional, behavioral, academic, developmental, and psychological functioning.

We recognize that many legal questions require more than a traditional clinical evaluation. Our approach is to identify the specific referral question presented by the attorney or court and select assessment methods that are appropriate to that question.

Our forensic evaluations may address questions related to:

  • Diagnostic clarification and differential diagnosis

  • Cognitive and intellectual functioning

  • Educational and learning disabilities

  • Autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions

  • Emotional and behavioral functioning

  • Trauma and psychological symptoms

  • Risk for violence or other concerning behavior

  • Threat assessment

  • Functional limitations and disability-related questions

  • Juvenile and adolescent psychological evaluations

 

We can work directly with attorneys to clarify the referral question, identify the information needed to address it, review relevant records, conduct appropriate psychological testing and interviews, and provide a comprehensive written report. We are available to consult with attorneys regarding whether a psychological evaluation may be appropriate for a particular case and to discuss the referral question, scope of evaluation, and information needed before proceeding.
